Vol. 148 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Mayo Bogs.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission are aware that the tenants of the townlands of Mullinmore, Kildavarogue and Bengary in the Crossmolina area are seeking turbary plots in the Keenagh and Cloonoragh bogs, and if he will request that such plots be provided for the coming season.

The turbary available for distribution in the townlands mentioned by the Deputy is of negligible amount but the Land Commission will endeavour to provide these tenants with turbary plots elsewhere.

If necessary, they will see what can be done by way of temporary bog lettings for the coming season.
