Vol. 148 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Survey of River Swilly.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will have arrangements made to carry out a survey of the River Swilly with a view to having a drainage scheme prepared and put into operation.

In view of the present commitments of the Commissioners of Public Works under the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945, I regret that it will not be possible to have arrangements made for an early survey of the River Swilly catchment and at this stage I cannot say when that catchment is likely to be reached in the arterial drainage programme.
