Vol. 149 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Killarney National School.

asked the Minister for Education if he will state the present position in regard to the proposal to erect a new national school to replace the old Presentation Monastery National School in Killarney.

A grant has been sanctioned by my Department towards the cost of the erection of a new school to replace the existing Presentation Monastery National School, Killarney.

The Commissioners of Public Works have had working drawings and a specification for the new school prepared and have now arranged to have bills of quantities taken out by a quantity surveyor. When the bills of quantities are available, which will not be for some time yet, tenders for the erection of the school will be invited by the commissioners.
