Vol. 149 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Deposit-Free Fishing Boats Scheme.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when the scheme for the provision of deposit-free fishing boats will be in operation.

It is presumed that the Deputy refers to the scheme for the supply of fishing boats to Irish-speaking fishermen resident in the Fíor-Ghaeltacht. The scheme will be administered through An Bord Iascaigh Mhara by whom arrangements for the building of such craft are being made. It cannot be stated at present when the first of the boats may be ready for issue.
