Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Health Act, 1953.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state, in respect of County Mayo, the number of persons (a) who applied for medical cards under the Health Act, 1953, (b) who qualified, (c) who did not qualify, and (d) on whose applications decisions have not yet been reached.

I am informed by the local authority that (a) the number of applications received for medical cards under the Health Act, 1953, to date was 3,030. Of these (b) 2,748 qualified, (c) 227 did not qualify and (d) decisions have not been reached on 55 applications.
