Vol. 150 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Relief of Congestion Statistics.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the total amount of money paid by way of cash or bonds for land purchased for the relief of congestion in each year from, and including, 1933.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to have a statement circulated with the Official Report which will contain the information sought by the Deputy.

Following is the statement:—

STATEMENT of the Purchase Moneys of untenanted land and Tenants' Compensation in the case of resumed holdings (Land Bonds and Cash) for each financial year since 1932/33.

(The bulk of the land so purchased was used for the relief of congestion.)
