Vol. 150 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage of the Brick.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware that completion of the work on the drainage of the Brick is being held up because small excavators and dredgers are not available and, if so, whether, in order that the work may be completed in the summer months, he will arrange to have such machinery allocated for the work as soon as possible.

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative.

Work on the River Brick and its tributaries is being carried out in accordance with a prearranged programme for the Feale catchment. Adequate plant is available for the purpose of this programme.
