Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Expenditure on Forestry.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state, in respect of each of the last five financial years, the amount and proportion of expenditure on forestry which represented wages and salaries.

The expenditure on salaries and wages for each of the last five years was as follows:—

These figures expressed as a percentage of gross expenditure in each year are as follows:—

The accounts for the year 1954-55 are not yet closed and the figures quoted for that year must therefore be regarded as provisional.
