Vol. 150 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Forestry Workers' Tea Break.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will make a regulation allowing forestry and other Land Commission labourers a tea break each working day similar to that allowed to employees of local authorities.

As I informed the Deputy in reply to his supplementary question on Wednesday last, I am arranging that the concession of a tea break will be allowed each working day to forestry and Land Commission labourers.

I wonder would the Minister be able to give us an indication of the date from which this tea break will be allowed?

I would not like to name a date.

Considering that the trade unions concerned and the Federation of Rural Workers made an application on the 23rd October last for this concession, surely it is not unreasonable to suggest that a decision could be made in the very near future?

There will not be any avoidable delay.
