Vol. 151 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Pensioners' Rents.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware of the hardship suffered by old age pensioners, blind pensioners and widows because they are compelled to pay to local authorities varying amounts for rents, and, if so, if he will take steps to have a flat rental rate of 2/6 per week fixed for such persons.

The determination of rents is primarily a function of the housing authority concerned.
