Vol. 151 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick Housing Schemes.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state, in respect of the area administered by the Limerick Corporation (a) whether he has received proposals in regard to new housing schemes, and, if so, when a decision will be issued; and (b) whether any compulsory purchase Orders are awaiting sanction, and, if so, when decisions will be issued.

The only proposal of the Limerick Corporation in regard to new housing schemes which awaits a decision in the Department relates to the provision of six additional houses at Pennywell. This proposal was received in the Department only on the 18th instant.

There are two compulsory purchase Orders for the Limerick Corporation's area before me at present. A decision will issue shortly regarding the Order for the Carey's Road area. The inquiry for the Island Road compulsory purchase Order was concluded only on the 19th instant.
