Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Aer Lingus and Aer Rianta Boards.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the names of the members of the board of Aer Lingus, Teoranta, the dates and periods of their appointments, and their occupations; further, if he will give similar details in respect of the board of Aer Rianta, Teoranta.

The present directors of Aer Lingus, Teoranta, their occupations and the dates of their first appointment are:—

Mr. J.J. O'Leary, Company Director

22nd May, 1936.

Mr. P.P. Wilkinson, Solicitor

15th December, 1950.

Lord Douglas of Kirtleside, Representative of British European Airways

8th April, 1949.

Mr. C. Carrigan, Representative of British European Airways

28th March, 1947

In the case of Aer Rianta, Teoranta, the particulars are:—

The directors of these companies are not appointed for any fixed period. Their appointments expire under the articles of association of the companies which provide that two directors of each company retire each year by rotation.
