Vol. 151 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Sligo Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to acquire the Greer estate in the parish of Kilglass, County Sligo.

Proceedings for the acquisition of this estate were discontinued when an objection to acquisition was allowed in 1952.

Is the Minister aware that the objection previously was that the owners of that estate derived their livelihood from the lands and now that they are all dead, would the Land Commission not consider acquiring this land for the relief of congestion in a very congested area?

I shall bring the Deputy's remarks to the notice of the Land Commission.
