Vol. 153 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tipperary Mountain Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands what is the present position in regard to the proposal to acquire the mountain lands of Burgess Beg and Coumroe, Nenagh, County Tipperary, for afforestation purposes.

An initial offer has been made for 89 acres in this district and it is hoped to open negotiations soon for further areas totalling 370 acres.

Acquisition of further areas totalling 100 acres approximately in this district is dependent on the outcome of these negotiations.
