Vol. 153 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Investigation of Employment Agencies.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare whether an investigation into the workings of employment agencies has been undertaken by his Department, and, if so, the purpose of the investigation.

My Department has not undertaken an investigation into the workings of employment agencies. Local officers of my Department were asked merely to furnish information regarding the work of such agencies in their areas for the purpose of having matters relating to the recruitment of persons for employment abroad considered.
