Vol. 153 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork Milk Supply.

asked the Minister for Health what is the present position regarding the application of the Cork Corporation for an Order under Section 33 of the Milk and Dairies Act, 1935, to prohibit the sale of other than pasteurised or highest grade milk within the Cork County Borough.

As I indicated to the Deputy in reply to a previous question on the subject, I will be prepared to make an Order of the nature referred to as soon as I am satisfied that adequate facilities are available for pasteurisation of the milk supplies for Cork City.

I am informed that such facilities will not be available for some months.
