Vol. 153 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Erinville Hospital Cork.

asked the Minister for Health what is the present position regarding the extension of the existing maternity unit in Erinville Hospital, Cork, and when it is proposed to begin construction.

The planning of the new maternity unit at Erinville Hospital is proceeding and I understand that the architect employed by the hospital authority is now preparing working drawings.

It would not be possible at this stage for the hospital authority to state a definite time when the actual work of constructing the new unit will be commenced but their architect has estimated that it may be possible to start about next April.
