Vol. 153 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Áras an Uachtaráin Improvements.

asked the Minister for Finance what improvements were carried out at the butler's house, Árasan Uachtaráin, and the cost of such improvements.

Expenditure amounting to approximately £100 has been incurred on the provision of an additional bedroom in the butler's quarters.

Can the Parliamentary Secretary tell me at whose request the improvement was carried out?

At the request of the people in Áras an Uachtaráin.

Would the Parliamentary Secretary be more specific?

Mr. Lemass

Does the Deputy think the accommodation was adequate for an ordinary workman?

She probably thinks £100 is too much to spend on an ordinary room.
