Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Health Act Applicants.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state, in respect of Cork City, the number of applications for medical cards under the Health Act, 1953 (a) which have been received, (b) which have been granted, (c) which have been refused, and (d) which are still awaiting decision.

The numbers are as follows:—

(a) Total number of applications received, 6,666; (b) number of applications granted, 5,814; (c) number of applications refused, 445; (d) number of applications under consideration, 407. The figures include cases in Cork Rural Dispensary District, portion of which is now within the municipal boundary.
