This fee simple property was for sale by the owner. The Land Commission, having considered a detailed report, bid for the property. Having been out-bidden beyond what they regard as an economic figure, they have taken the only course open, viz., to withdraw from the bidding. The report is confidential. The commissioners' decision was announced on 27th October, 1955.
