Vol. 153 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ballyfermot Factory Sites.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether, in view of the fact that there is a large population in the Ballyfermot area, County Dublin, he will bring its suitability as a site for a factory to the notice of manufacturers who propose to set up new industries in the vicinity of Dublin.

Promoters of new industries are fully aware of the attractions of the Dublin area, including Ballyfermot, as a location for new industries. The fact that something approaching half the total industrial employment in the State is concentrated in Dublin would appear to confirm that view.
