Vol. 154 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Withdrawal of Donegal School-Children.

asked the Minister for Education whether he is now in a position to state the result of the inquiry held by his Department on 30th November, 1955, into the cause of the schoolchildren's strike at Currin National School, Termon, County Donegal, and whether he will take immediate action to have the dispute dealt with satisfactorily.

I am not in a position at this stage to state the result of the inquiry which has been held at Termon National School, County Donegal, in relation, inter alia, to the withdrawal of certain pupils from the school.

The matters that formed the subject of the official inquiry are not such as would be appropriate for public discussion, particularly at present, but I hope to bring them to issue at the earliest possible date.
