Vol. 154 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork National Schools.

asked the Minister for Education if he will state the present position in relation to the proposed increased accommodation at Crosshaven and Carrigaline National Schools, County Cork.

The Commissioners of Public Works have been asked by my Department to furnish, as soon as possible, a report on the question of the provision of an additional classroom at Crosshaven Boys' National School. When the report is received my Department will communicate with the Reverend Manager in the matter.

With regard to Carrigaline Boys' and Girls' National Schools it is proposed to carry out a scheme of enlargement to provide increased accommodation at each school. In order to enable a scheme to be prepared an extension of the existing site of the schools will require to be obtained by the Reverend Manager. My Department is in communication with the Reverend Manager in the matter.

Every effort will be made to secure that the required extra accommodation will be provided in each of these cases without avoidable delay.
