Vol. 154 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Clare Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands what is the present position concerning the Madigan farm, Moy, Lahinch, County Clare, and when it is likely to be subdivided among deserving local applicants.

The preparation of final plans for the allotment of these lands must await the outcome of proceedings for the resumption of other lands in the same locality. It may also be necessary to secure more lands in the area by way of migration.

It is not possible, therefore, to say when allotment will be effected but, when this is being done, the claims of all deserving local applicants will be fully considered.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission have taken over the Holmes estate, Ballyglass, Parteen, County Clare, and when it is expected to have it allotted among deserving applicants in the area.

The Land Commission obtained possession of this estate last week, but it is not possible to indicate at present when allotment will take place. The claims of all deserving local applicants will be given full consideration.
