Vol. 154 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tralee Artisans' Dwellings Scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government what is the cause of the delay in sanctioning the proposed purchase scheme for artisans' dwellings submitted by the Tralee Urban District Council.

In this case, the manager did not make an order because he was advised that the proposed sale of the dwellings was a reserved function of the council for the purposes of the County Management Acts, 1940 to 1955. The position is, however, that the disposal of the property is an executive function of the council performable by the manager and the council have been so informed. The manager has not as yet submitted any order in the matter for consideration by me.
