Vol. 155 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Interview with American Industrialist.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware that at a conference between an American industrialist and an official of the Industrial Development Authority on 26th January, 1956, it was suggested by the official that, because the industrialist was anxious to transfer his plant to this country, he was one of the parties who, as a result of the recession in trade on the east coast of America, was being forced out, that he was hiding something, and that his machinery was obsolete years ago in America; and, if so, if he will have the case re-investigated.

I am having further inquiries made into the matter and will communicate with the Deputy in due course.
