Vol. 156 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Delay in Shamrock Deliveries.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware that shamrock sent by air mail to exiles in America four days before the required date was not delivered up to 20th March, and, if so, if he will take stops to ensure that such delays will not occur again.

Special staffing arrangements were made for the expeditious despatch of shamrock postings to America and elsewhere, and I am not aware that any delay to such postings occurred in this country. If, however, the Deputy will supply me with particulars of the instances he has in mind, including, if possible, the covers of the packets concerned, I shall have inquiry made and communicate the result to him.
