Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Erection of National Schools.

asked the Minister for Education if he will expedite the commencement of work on the new national school at Cashel, County Donegal.

A contract for the erection of the new school at Cashel, Kindrum, has been placed. I understand that building operations will be commenced immediately.

asked the Minister for Education when work on the new national school at Milford, County Donegal, is expected to commence.

I am informed by the Commissioners of Public Works that the preparation of detailed working drawings and a specification which is a necessary preliminary to the invitation of tenders for the erection of the proposed new national school at Milford, County Donegal, is in hands and will be completed as soon as possible. I am unable to say at present when it is likely that work on the erection of the school will be commenced.

asked the Minister for Education when the proposed new national school at Kiskeam, County Cork, will be erected.

The Commissioners of Public Works have accepted a tender for the erection of a new national school at Kiskeam, County Cork. I understand that building operations will be commenced by the contractor at a very early date.
