The numbers of new industries and extensions to existing undertakings which came to my notice as having commenced production in each of the years 1954 and 1955 were as follows:—
In 1954: Dublin City and County, 64; the other 25 counties, 46. In 1955: Dublin City and County, 51; the other 25 counties, 52.
There may, of course, be others of which there is no official record.
