Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Price Control.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the commodities the prices of which are subject to control by reference to the manufacturing profit.

There is no commodity the price of which is subject to statutory control by reference only to the manufacturing profit.

The factor is, however, taken into account along with other factors in fixing the prices specified in the statutory Orders covering the following commodities: Bacon, stout, porter, bread, flour and wheatenmeal, butter, cigarettes and tobacco, cloth, clothing and knitting wool, gas, milk (in Dublin and Cork sale districts, perambulators, sewing thread and sugar.
