Vol. 157 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Discharge of Clonmel Forestry Workers.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware that a number of men employed on the forestry scheme at Glenpatrick, Clonmel, have been discharged, and, if so, if he will state the reasons for discharging them; further, whether he will investigate the possibility of having them re-employed.

Three juveniles employed at Kilsheelan forestry centre were recently let go as there was no work of a suitable nature available for them. The vacancies created are being filled by adult workers. No reduction of staff is contemplated at this forest.
