asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the reasons for the delay in advertising the Fethard regional water supply scheme for tender, and if, in view of the serious position obtaining in Killenaule as a result of a water shortage, he will have the matter expedited.

I understand that the local authority are still negotiating for acquisition by agreement of the necessary water rights.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the reasons for the delay in advertising the Commons-Ballingarry water supply scheme for tender.

Tenders were invited by the sanitary authority in January last, but no further progress can be made pending the acquisition of the necessary water rights.
