Vol. 158 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ground Rents Tax Exemptions.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state, in respect of ground rents acquired by non-nationals, the total amounts of exemptions from income-tax granted in each year from and including 1946.

I regret that the information for which the Deputy asks is not available.

I wonder would the Minister consider the advisability of introducing legislation whereby ground rents, when being disposed of, would be offered to Irish nationals, so that Irish nationals would have an opportunity of purchasing them?

That is a separate question.

It is a much wider question.
