asked the Minister for Health if he will state (a) the total number of applications under the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowance) Regulations, 1954, which have been (i) received by the Longford County Council, (ii) recommended, (iii) rejected on medical grounds, (iv) rejected on the grounds of means, and (v) rejected for other reasons; (b) the number of cases in which (i) the maximum allowance has been awarded, and (ii) less than the maximum has been awarded; and (c) the total amount paid by the county council in respect of such allowances since the commencement of the scheme.
