Vol. 160 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork Bus Station.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will ascertain from C.I.E. when it is proposed to build the new bus station in Cork City.

I have received an application from C.I.E. for an Order under Section 17 of the Transport Act, 1950, authorising the board to acquire compulsorily the site required for the erection of a new bus station in Cork.

Before such Order can be made it will be necessary for the board to publish notice of their proposals so that I may consider any representations which may be made by interested parties. It is anticipated that the C.I.E. proposals will have advanced to the stage that public notice can be given in the course of the next few weeks.
