asked the Minister for Justice when it is proposed to build a new Garda Síochána station at Carna, County Galway; whether tenders were invited some time ago, and, if so, with what result; and whether it is proposed to invite fresh tenders, and, if so, when.

Tenders for the erection of a new station were obtained by the Commissioners of Public Works. It is not possible at present to state when a contract will be placed or whether it will be necessary to obtain fresh tenders.
As I promised the Deputy in reply to his question on this subject of the 14th March last I will keep him informed of developments.
