Vol. 160 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Petrol for Taxis.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware that the Dublin City and County Taxi Owners' Association are very perturbed on account of the small allocation of petrol which will be given to taxi owners as from 1st January, 1957, and, if so, if he will increase the allowance.

As already announced, in the public Press last Saturday, I am prepared to consider the granting of a supplementary allowance for taxis and I have arranged a meeting between representatives of the Association representing taxi operators and officials of my Department to discuss this matter.
