Vol. 160 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Labourers Employed by Corps of Engineers.

asked the Minister for Defence whether any one of the ten labourers who were employed by the corps of engineers up to 10th September, 1956 and who were declared redundant, have been re-employed.

There is no record of ten labourers having been discharged due to redundancy on the 10th September, 1956. It is thought, however, that the Deputy's question may refer to six labourers who were employed with the corps of engineers in Dublin and who were discharged due to redundancy on the 21st September, 1956. One of these labourers has since been re-employed.
