Written Answers. - Dún Laoghaire Small Dwellings Loans.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state in respect of each year from 1950 to date, (a) the number of applications for loans under the Small Dwellings Acquisition Acts received by the Dún Laoghaire Borough Corporation, and the number and total amount of loans sanctioned, and (b) the number and total amount of (i) State grants and (ii) supplementary grants paid to such applicants.

(1) The figures given in relation to State grants represent the total number of houses and the total amount of grants fully paid during each financial year. It is not possible to relate these figures to those regarding loans sanctioned under the Small Dwellings Acquisition Acts.

(2) No information is available in the Department in regard to the number of applications for loans which were not granted by the Corporation or as to supplementary grants paid by the Corporation to applicants to whom loans were granted.
