I move:—
That a supplementary sum not exceeding £20,000 be granted to defray the Charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1957, for Grants to Universities and Colleges, including certain Grants-in-Aid.
The building of a new college for University College, Dublin, has been under consideration for a long time and a sum of £20,000 was made available last November for the clearing of the site and I am asking the Dáil to vote that amount.
