Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Liquor Retained for Home Consumption

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the quantity of (a) proof gallons of spirits, (b) standard barrels of beer, (c) gallons of cider, and (d) gallons of wine retained for home consumption in the calendar year 1956.

The following are the particulars of the quantities of spirits, beer, cider and wine retained for home consumption in the calendar year 1956:—

(a) Spirits (excluding deliveries for methylation)

820,166 proof gallons.

(b) Beer

886,724 standard barrels.

(c) Cider

769,587 gallons.

(d) Wine

549,721 gallons.
