asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the names of the estates in County Limerick in which the Land Commission are at present interested, and the position in each case.

The following is a list of estates in County Limerick in respect of which the Land Commission have instituted acquisition proceedings and where such proceedings have not yet been completed:—

The statement does not include (a) one case which is the subject of negotiations for voluntary purchase; it would be a breach of confidence to disclose particulars of it at this stage, or (b) certain cases in which detailed reports have been called for by the commissioners. Since, in some of these cases, no proceedings may be started, it would be unfair to owners to draw undue attention to them.
