Vol. 352 No. 8

Written Answers. - Phoenix Park (Dublin) By-Laws.

460.

asked the Minister for Finance the regulations or by-laws covering the control of commercial vehicles in the Phoenix Park, Dublin; the steps if any, that are being taken to enforce such regulations or by-laws; and at whose instance they are enforceable.

Bylaw No. 4 (1) of the Phoenix Park By-Laws, 1926, provides that no vehicles other than passenger carrying vehicles (excluding buses) may enter the park without the written permission of the Commissioners of Public Works.

Commercial vehicles are admitted to the park on production of the necessary permit which is issued by the commissioners only to firms having business within the park. The enforcement of the regulations governing commercial traffic in the park is the responsibility of the Commissioners of Public Works.
