Vol. 161 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - National Farmers' Association Deputation.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he recently received a deputation from the National Farmers' Association, and, if so, what representations were made to him by such deputation, and whether he proposes to take any action in relation thereto.

On the 16th April, I received a deputation from the Grain Committee of the National Farmers' Association. As the Deputy is aware, it is not the practice to publish details of discussions of this nature, but I can say that the discussion related to the price, production and marketing of homegrown wheat.

Certain proposals made by the deputation are being examined, but I am not in a position to say, at this stage, what action will be taken in relation thereto.

I will ask the question again.
