asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state in respect of each 1st January from 1953 to 1957, inclusive, (a) the number of houses under construction by local authorities, (b) the number under construction by private enterprise, (c) the number of men employed in house building by local authorities, and (d) the number employed on private enterprise housing.

(a) The number of houses under construction by local authorities was
