Vol. 162 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rearrangement of Dispensary Districts.

asked the Minister for Health if, for the benefit and convenience of patients and in the interests of efficiency and accessibility, he will have the present unwieldy dispensary districts rearranged in more compact units.

I do not consider that, in general, dispensary districts are so unwieldy as to warrant revision, but I will consider specific proposals submitted by any local authority for reorganisation of districts, particularly in the case of urban areas where there have been substantial population shifts due to housing development.
