My Department has received proposals from County Mayo Vocational Education Committee for the erection of vocational schools in Geesala and Inver. The committee is now being authorised to proceed with arrangements for the proposed school in Inver as one of a limited number of additional vocational school building projects for which it has been found possible to allocate the necessary capital in the current financial year. I am not as yet in a position to indicate when it may be possible to authorise the committee to proceed with arrangements for the proposed school in Geesala.
