Industry and Commerce if he will make a statement on the memorandum furnished to him by the Maritime Institute, relating to the proposed establishment of a dry dock at Haulbowline; and whether any proposals have been received in his Department concerning such a project.

I have carefully examined the memorandum furnished by the Maritime Institute and I hope that its publication will help to direct attention to the potentialities of Haulbowline for development on commercial lines.
An interest in Haulbowline has been evinced by certain commercial interests, but the Deputies will appreciate that at this stage I can give no information on the subject.
