Vol. 164 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fluoridation of Water Supplies.

asked the Minister for Health whether a consultative council was established in January, 1957, to consider whether the fluoridation of public water supplies in this country would be justified with a view to preventing dental decay, particularly amongst children; if he will indicate the present position; and whether any recommendations were made by the council.

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. The council is still examining the question and has not yet made any report.
