Written Answers. - Limerick Estates.

asked the Minister for Lands what proposals are before the Land Commission regarding the acquisition and/or division of estates in County Limerick.

An area of 506 acres in County Limerick is being inspected with a view to acquisition while proceedings are already in progress for the acquisition or purchase of 587 acres. Apart from remnants, the Land Commission have on hands some 2,500 acres. An area of 233 acres has been allotted to date this year and schemes have been formulated for the division of a further area of 1,460 acres.
